Dr. Radhakrishnan Pillai

Dr Radhakrishnan Pillai, fondly known as Chanakya Pillai for his extensive study of the works of the great Indian philosopher Chanakya, is an acclaimed author and TedX speaker. His books Inside Chanakya’s Mind, Chatur Chanakya and the Himalayan Problem discuss the true essence of management derived from ancient knowledge. He has researched Kautilya’s Arthashastra extensively and has incorporated his deep understanding into the use of modern management. He has also authired several management books based on his learnings from the Arthashastra, such as Corporate Chanakya, 7 Secrets of Leadership and Chanakya in Daily Life to name a few.

 

A certified management consultant from International Institute of Management Consultants, Dr Pillai is a management thinker, Founder of Atma Darshan and Chanakya Aanvikshiki, and holds the position of Deputy Director of Chanakya International Institute of Leadership Studies. a master’s degree in Sanskrit.

Dr Pillai is also a director at SPM Foundation and is the founder Director of Atma Darshan, a spiritual tourism company. He has represented India at several national and international conferences, including the World congress of Philosophy in Athens, Greece; Academy of Management (AOM) in San Antonio, USA; and at the Indian Philosophical Congress (IPC).
Dr Pillai is also the recipient of the Sardar Patel International Award, 2009.

Vaibhav Purandare

Vaibhav Purandare is the author of the widely acclaimed Savarkar: The True Story Of the Father of Hindutva, published by Juggernaut Books. His other bestselling books are Sachin Tendulkar: A Definitive Biography and Bal Thackeray & The Rise of the Shiv Sena.
Vaibhav grew up in Mumbai in the 1980s and 90s which were tumultuous decades in the political landscape of Maharashtra. This was the time when Bal Thackeray and his political party Shiv Sena grew from being regional political players to champions of a militant Hindutva that carried their rhetoric and rage across India.

Eshwar Sundaresan

Eshwar Sundaresan is an award-winning writer and the author of Behind the silicon mask, God save the toddy, Bangalored: the Expat Story, Wiser After and Age-old Tales.
Since 2011, Eshwar has predominantly ghostwritten for business leaders and exemplary citizens. In addition to autobiographies, his ghostwriting work includes conceptual books based on industries as diverse as financial services, healthcare, infrastructure and Information Technology.

Although he knew he wanted to be a writer at the age of eight, Eshwar began his career like millions of his generation: as an IT professional. He quit his lucrative career in 2003 once he felt he had done enough to uplift the economic situation of his family.
In addition to writing, Eshwar has found two parallel vocations: Life Skills training and counselling. Committing to all three vocations helps him live a meaningful and versatile life.
He has received awards for his writing from the British Council, Unisun Publications and Oxford Bookstores. Meanwhile, the pre-production work of the film he wrote for the Kannada film industry is expected to begin soon.
Until recently, he used to design and conduct workshops to spread awareness on child sexual abuse. At different times, he has felt at home in Mumbai, Mangalore, Cupertino, Milwaukee, Singapore and Bangalore.

Vasanthi Hariprakash

Vasanthi Hariprakash is an award-winning radio anchor and TV journalist, columnist and a public speaker. She has worked extensively with leading media houses in India and was the host of a breakfast primetime on Bangalore’s Radio City 91.1 FM. She is the recipient of India Radio Excellence Award in 2007 for being India’s best English RJ of the year.

Vasanthi is now host and series narrator of The Dosa King podcast on Spotify. She also writes on both the funny and profound side of being an Indian from the vantage view of her ‘Window Seat’, her monthly column in the Deccan Herald.

Vasanthi is also the founder of Pickle Jar, an audio-video-text company to tell stories of India – without bias, sensationalism and hate. Her passion – to enable and support journalists in rural and tribal India to tell stories in their own native tongue with pride – has taken her to work in places such as Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh.
Her latest award, the UNFPA-backed Laadli award for gender sensitivity in journalism, 2020, came for her multi-lingual video reporting that the citation said, brought forth ‘voices of marginalised women to the mainstream during the elections from Karnataka’s remotest districts’ where news channels don’t reach.

A storyteller fluent in five languages and a classical music singer, Vasanthi was also mentor in 2020 on invitation by the the US Consulate in Chennai to guide young adults towards their goals.

Sonia Pardesi is an image consultant and transformational coach, and the founder of Sonia Pardesi Image Consulting.
Sonia has trained over 2000 people from leading organisations in non-verbal communication. Her deep understanding of and expertise in developing best practices in body language, social etiquette, clothing and wardrobe management has helped transform the confidence levels of many professionals.

V Balakrishnan

V Balakrishnan is the founder and artistic-director of Theatre Nisha, a Chennai based theatre company.
He is an alumnus of Sri Ram Centre for Performing Arts and the National School of Drama, New Delhi. He is empanelled with the ICCR as a theatre director and has directed over 150 plays for Theatre Nisha, and over 80 plays for schools and colleges. He has acted in more than 200 plays since he started in 1994.
Balakrishnan has won the Charles Wallace Scholarship to attend an International Residency for Young Directors with the Royal Court Theatre, London in 2002. He won the Fulbright Distinguished Award in Teaching 2017 for his contributions to theatre education.

Balakrishnan has written over 10 full-length plays – ensembles and monologues. He won the Hindu Playwright Award 2019 for his script Sordid and was shortlisted for the Sultan Padamsee Award 2020 for his script Arundhati. His plays have been performed extensively at festivals across India, including The Hindu Theatre Festival, Sunday to Sunday Theatre Festival (Natarani), Aha! International Children’s Festival, Bonjour India, Soorya National Theatre Festival, Jairangam Theatre Festival, and Short and Sweet Festival.
In 2015, Balakrishnan delivered a TedX speech in Bangalore where he shared his knowledge about creating a character.
He has worked with several international dancers and theatre professionals on collaborative projects, including Performance Group Tuida, from South Korea. He has to his credit several workshops on different aspects of theatre, which have benefitted artists, teachers, dancers, students, and members of marginalised communities.
Currently he is creating a script on the Bhagavata Gita.

Dr. J. Mangayarkarasi

Dr. J. Mangayarkarasi, popularly referred to as Dr. Mangai, is an expert in linguistics and has been a professor of English for over two decades. She has been specifically teaching thousands of under graduate and post graduate students English Language and Literature in India. Her deep understanding of the influence of local cultures and dialects on the English language brings to the table the knowledge required when crafting dialogues.
A doctor in English Language Teaching, Dr. Mangai is actively working towards introducing artificial intelligence and augmented reality to improve the efficacy of English language teaching. To this effect, she has been heavily focused on syllabus and curriculum design and its application via a perfect blend of creativity, innovation and use of technology and techniques in language education.

Dr. Mangai is also the National Converner of the English Language Teachers Association of India (ELTAI) chapters, an associate of IATEFL and TESOL. She is one of the Board of Directors of a literary association dedicated to the cause of promoting reading habits among adult learners.

Dr. Mangai has co-authored two academic books , Essentials of Language: a Course and workbook for English Language Lab and Basic Grammar- Quickfind Series. She has also worked on a project “Zooming into Digital Education – Instructional design for English Language Teachers”, which was launched on 5th September, 2020, with am aim to help teachers effectively deliver English language knowledge digitally.

Nkoshi, Oforbuike Wisdom

Nkoshi, Oforbuike Wisdom is a Nigerian littérateur and an upcoming playwright and novelist. He has written screen plays for more than 50 Nollywood films with many going on to become critically acclaimed works. He is passionate about fiction writing and is the co-author of the upcoming book ‘Anand’.
